Message for high school students

In our school, the students will be exposed to various issues facing the global society and devising their solutions, not only through the conventional class room teaching, but also through problem-based and team-based learning. In recent years, concerns are growing regarding climate change induced disasters associated with global warming. Development of technologies for climate change adaptation is, thus, an urgent need of the society. On the other hand, the world has been experiencing large scale earthquake induced hazards or natural hazards such as landslides and floods. Disaster mitigation and environmental protection are, thus, going to be an important part of the curriculum of this new school, so that the students are best prepared for the immediate and present dangers facing the humanity.
