Message for high school students

You’d be amazed how many natural phenomena around us are still not understood. The word “physics” is derived from the Ancient Greek meaning “knowledge of nature.” There’s beauty and enjoyment to be found in finding your own questions and shedding light on the reasons why and how these phenomena occur. At the same time, the willingness to identify an issue, seek solutions through a process of trial and error, and engage in logical discussion while solving the problem will be useful to you in your subsequent career, whether you work in the humanities or science. Solving problems that have defined answers ends when you graduate from high school. At university, I want you to gain the ability to identify issues for yourself, to explore all the possibilities, and to take on challenges.
