My dream in this new school is to help students develop their argumentation and debate skills so that they can cope with a variety of critical communication situations in Japan and in the world. Debate is not a verbal fight but a process of finding an answer to a question and communicating it. It is also a method of reasoned decision-making by comparing arguments for and against a controversy. Competitive debating is one of the best methods of developing argumentation skills. I would like to welcome both experienced debaters and the uninitiated to work together to find a better way of argumentation education.
