| ヘラサギ類の今津干潟と周辺環境の利用状況から見る将来の水鳥保全と環境利用の展望/Perspectives on Future Conservation of Waterfowl and Environment Use from Microhabitat Selection of Spoonbills in the Imazu Tidal Flat and Surrounding Environments |
| 個体数が減少している水鳥の保全は重要な課題である。水鳥の生息地として、干潟の重要性は知られていたが、干潟周辺環境に注目した研究は少なかった。DPでは、今津干潟とヘラサギ類を対象に、両環境の利用頻度を野外調査データによって調べた。その結果、ヘラサギ類は、干潟以上に貯水池や農業用水路等の周辺環境を採食・休息地として利用していた。以上より、湿地に加え、その周辺環境も水鳥の保全にとっては重要な可能性が高い。/Conservation of declining waterbird populations is a crucial challenge. While the importance of tidal flats as habitats for waterbirds has been recognized, there has been limited research focusing on the surrounding environments of tidal flats. In this study, we investigated the frequency of habitat use in both tidal flats and their surrounding areas, specifically focusing on the Imazu tidal flats and two spoonbill species. The results showed that spoonbills utilized the surrounding environments such as reservoirs and agricultural channels for foraging and resting more frequently than the tidal flats. These findings suggest that in addition to tidal flats, surrounding various environments are also likely to be important for waterbird conservation. （Avian Research Volume 14, 2023, 100107 https://doi.org/10.1016/j.avrs.2023.100107） |

| 国産コーヒーの 6 次産業化に向けて-徳之島の事例-/Domestic Coffee as a Sixth Industry: The Case of Tokunoshima |
| 本研究では、日本のコーヒー産地である徳之島のコーヒー生産・ブランディング等の現状を検証し、課題を克服するための提言を行った。福岡市内の珈琲店へのインタビュー調査、徳之島での現地調査、コーヒー農家への聞き取り調査、国産コーヒーに対する消費者意識調査など、多角的な分析を行った。これらの調査結果をもとに、徳之島のコーヒー産業に対し、ブランディング、農業、ナレッジマネジメントの3つの観点から、6次産業化の枠組みを提示した。/This study examined the current state of coffee production and branding in Tokunoshima, a coffee-producing region in Japan, and provided recommendations to overcome challenges. The research involved multifaceted analyses, including interviews with coffee shops in Fukuoka city, on-site investigations in Tokunoshima, surveys of coffee farmers, and assessments of consumer attitudes toward domestic coffee consumption. Based on these findings, a framework for sixth-industry promotion focusing on branding, agriculture, and knowledge management was proposed for the coffee industry in Tokunoshima. |

| Measurement of eye movements in response to dynamic-tracking task -Eyes as the mirror of the mind |
| 眼球運動のダイナミクスは、視覚情報処理を反映すると考えられ、脳の内部状態を推定するうえでも重要な役割を果たす。本研究では、眼球運動の一種のサッケード運動の特徴を捉えた動的追跡課題を用いて、刺激の呈示時間を変化させる実験を行った。その結果、呈示時間によって眼球運動の振幅や瞳孔の大きさが変化することを発見した。眼球運動の測定は、非侵襲的かつ簡便であり、統合失調症などの早期診断の指標としても期待される。 /The dynamics of eye movements are believed to reflect visual information processing and play a crucial role in estimating the internal state of the brain. In this study, we conducted experiments varying the presentation time of stimuli using a dynamic-tracking task capturing characteristics of saccadic eye movements. The results revealed variations in the amplitude of eye movements and pupil size depending on the presentation time. Eye movement measurement is non-invasive and straightforward, holding promise as an indicator for early diagnosis of conditions such as schizophrenia. |
