There, I witnessed the low level of disaster preparedness among local residents. Determined to make changes, I organized multiple lectures at public organizations such as the Japanese Red Cross Society to raise awareness. After entering Kyushu University, I remained committed to disaster recovery efforts and founded an organization dedicated to supporting affected communities. I utilized crowdfunding to sell local specialty products, provide relief supplies, and pay a courtesy visit to the mayor of a disaster-stricken city to report on my disaster recovery efforts. My efforts have been featured in various media outlets, including NHK News, newspapers, and television. I plan to continue supporting disaster-affected communities, helping to rebuild and strengthen resilience. |

Amongst the varying activities* I have engaged in both on and off campus, the most impactful has been “QUACC,” which is a project that provides free menstrual products in Kyushu University restrooms. Through QUACC, I identified a pressing issue in my immediate environment and collaborated across disciplines to develop and implement a solution. This experience has allowed me to embrace a multitude of challenges, which have contributed to my intellectual and personal development. Furthermore, it has reinforced my commitment to continuous self-improvement by fostering a mindset of inquiry—consistently asking myself, “What can I contribute at this moment?”—and taking proactive steps toward new challenges. It has reaffirmed that this approach is a defining aspect of my identity and a driving force behind my academic and professional aspirations. *Activity Details |
