Message for high school students

Cancer remains one of the most serious medical challenges in the world. Cancer cells harboring abnormal proliferating capacity cause the disease of cancer and these features came from their genetic alterations. In recent years, new targeting drugs and immunotherapies that strengthen the immune system to eliminate cancer cells have been emerging, and cancer treatment has undergone a major transformation. From scientific discoveries leading to the development of therapeutic drugs, and from their arrival in our hospitals to the well-being of patients, collaboration among many fields is indispensable. This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of cancer treatment, which has many different facets.
