Message for high school students

Chemistry has a long history of enriching human life and transforming the very structure of society. Since the Industrial Revolution, technological innovations have dramatically improved the convenience and comfort of our daily lives. Today, chemistry plays an increasingly vital role as a key to addressing global challenges such as energy and environmental issues. In light of this background, our research group is developing new technologies to produce essential chemicals—such as hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol—from biomass, with the aim of realizing a sustainable and self-reliant society. Chemistry holds limitless potential to shape the future.
