Message for high school students

Where do the materials and energy used in the metal products, everyday items, home appliances, and cars that you use every day come from? In Japan, which is not blessed with mineral and energy resources, securing these resources stably is more important than anything else. Processing the wide variety of mineral and energy resources involves extremely massive amounts, and throughout history, humanity has developed processes to make them as efficient as possible. These methods are also used for recycling waste produced in society. It's also necessary to have an international perspective. I want to think about this together with all of you.
