“Autumn Entrance Ceremony” and “New International Student Orientation & Social Event Fall 2024”. Oct.2,2024
On Monday, October 1, 2024, the “Autumn Entrance Ceremony of School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation” was held under crisp, clear autumn skies, with eight regular international students in attendance.
At the Entrance Ceremony, Dean Araya gave words of encouragement to the new students who are embracing new dreams.
Afterwards, “Orientation for New International Students Autumn 2024” was held, including the exchange students.
In addition to the eight regular international students, seventeen exchange students, faculty, staff, and students, a total of about fifty people participated in the orientation.
Professor Johan Lauwereyns, Head of the Office of International Affairs, moderated the orientation and introduced the School of ISI. The students were given an introduction to the ISI, an explanation of class registration procedures, and other necessary information for their lives here. The students seemed excited about their new life in Japan.
International Student Get-Together Party Fall 2024 was held at the campus restaurant “Big Orange” in the evening on the same day.
Starting from this party, the Student International Team of ISI, which was newly established in September, was in charge of planning and management. Through the students' elaborate moderating and game planning, the atmosphere, which was a bit tense at first, gradually became lively. Even after the closing remarks, the students could not stop talking, and the party was a great success.
