A group from the School of Environment and Oceanography, Pukyong National University visited ISI Feb.18,2025
On Monday, February 10, 2025 (R7), about 30 faculty members from College of Environmental and Marine Science and Technology at Pukyong National University in Busan visited ISI. Under the coordination of Associate Professor IkJoon Kang, an exchange meeting and a joint seminar were held.
Immediately after arriving at the Ito Campus, members of IsiCON, the Student Internationalization Promotion Team of ISI, showed the visitors around the Central Library and Center Zone. Despite concerns about the cold weather that had prevailed the day before, the weather was relatively mild on the day of the tour, and we were able to carry out the campus tour in a friendly atmosphere.
Moving to the INAMORI Center, the group was welcomed by 11 students who will begin their short-term Study Abroad at Pukyong National University on Sunday, February 16, and the exchange meeting started. Conversation was lively over Japanese sweets, and the students seemed to have even higher expectations for their trip to Japan.
After the exchange meeting, faculty members from Pukyong National University and ISI gave a seminar. First, Associate Professor Kang read the welcome letter by the Dean of ISI in Korean. After that, a video letter from the President of Pukyong National University and a speech by Professor Yoichiro Miki, Senior Vice President of the ISI followed.
The seminar was very meaningful, with four presenters from both schools taking the stage and many questions being asked and nodding in agreement after each presentation.
