Visit of NTU D-School, Taiwan’s TOP university Apr.11,2025

On Friday, April 11, 2025, Associate Professor Chien Wen Yuan from the D-School of National Taiwan University (NTU), one of Taiwan’s top universities, visited ISI.

After a welcome address by Dean Araya, a meeting was held in the Dean’s office where both parties affirmed their commitment to further collaboration. Dean Araya also expressed his gratitude for NTU’s acceptance of 15 students from ISI.

The visit followed the recent implementation of the “COOL Program” in the 2024 academic year—a hybrid initiative combining COIL and on-site components, hosted by ISI in partnership with NTU’s D-School.

Following the meeting with the Dean, a constructive discussion was held on the outcomes and future development of the COOL Program. The discussion involved Professor Lauwereyns, who oversaw the entire program, and Associate Professor Brezina, who was in charge of the on-site component.

During lunch, four students from ISI who participated in the NTU on-site program joined the conversation, along with Associate Professor Li, who has a close relationship with Associate Professor Chien. The meeting took place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Later in the day, Associate Professor Brezina and members of “IsiCON,” the student internationalization promotion team at ISI, conducted a campus tour for her.
