Dean for Global Engagement from the University of Glasgow Visits the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation Dec.11,2025
On Monday, December 8, 2025, Professor Kostas Kontis (Dean and Professor of Global Engagement) from the University of Glasgow visited the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation (ISI). He engaged in a productive discussion with ISI faculty members on strengthening collaboration between the University of Glasgow’s School of Social & Environmental Sustainability and ISI.Blessed with unusually mild and sunny weather for December, the meeting began with a welcome address by Dean Araya.Professor Kontis remarked that Fukuoka felt “almost like summer” compared with Scotland, which set a warm and friendly tone for the discussion. Both sides then confirmed their intention to continue building a stronger partnership, taking an important step forward for future cooperation between the two institutions.
