[April 2026 Intake] ISI Holds Entrance Ceremony and Other Events Apr.6,2026

Amid cherry blossoms in full bloom, the undergraduate entrance ceremony for 100 new students was held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the School of ISI, Kyushu University. During the ceremony, Dean Araya delivered a welcoming address, and the new students took their first steps on their new academic journey.

This was followed by an orientation session for new students, introducing the faculty’s philosophy, how to create a study plan, the English Intensive Course, e-portfolios, and important points regarding student life.

In the afternoon, a joint tutorial for new students was held. Under the guidance of their assigned faculty members (tutors) in each class, students introduced themselves and participated in individual meetings with their tutors. As they deepened their interactions with fellow students and faculty members, they appeared full of anticipation for their new university life.

At the subsequent course registration consultation session, volunteer current students provided advice and support to new students in creating their class schedules. With guidance from upperclassmen, the new students were able to address their concerns while planning their course schedules.

In the evening, a welcome party was held for new students, bringing together new students, current students, and faculty and staff to deepen their connections in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Through this series of events, the new students began their academic journey at the School of ISI alongside their new peers.
