Special Advisor to the President Masahiro Okamoto Attends National Taiwan Normal University Centennial Celebration Ceremony Oct.14,2022

On September 28, 2022, Masahiro Okamoto, Special Advisor to the President and Professor Emeritus of Kyushu University, who has provided various advices on the initiatives of the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation (ISI), invited and attended the Centennial Celebration Ceremony of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).

Prior to the ceremony, Special Advisor to the President Okamoto met with President Cheng-Chih Wu and explained the educational features and initiatives of the ISI, which based on breaking down the walls between the arts and sciences and problem-solving.

The ceremony was held in a solemn manner at the Hall on the main campus (an auditorium at the old Taipei High School) with attendance of faculty members, staff and guests, who celebrated the long history of NTNU and wished its future development. The students studying in Taiwan and Kyushu University alumni came to see him, which provided a heartwarming scene of exchange.

The ISI has been working with NTNU on collaborative education initiatives, and COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) was implemented for the first time from August 22 to August 26, 2022. The ISI will continue to cooperate with the NTNU in various ways in the future.
