Dean of the College of Liberal Studies at Seoul National University meet with Dean of School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation Sep.30,2022
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, Prof. Yang Il-Mo, Dean of the College of Liberal Studies (CLS) at Seoul National University, the highest ranked university in Korea, visited Prof. Masahiko Kaburagi, Dean of School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation（ISI）.
Dean Kaburagi and Prof. Konomi Natalie, Kyushu University's Global Strategies Office, warmly welcomed Dean Yang in the Dean's Office, where they exchanged information and opinions on the features and educational content of their respective faculties. In the process, they confirmed that there are many similarities between CLS and ISI. The two faculties share the same mission of educating students to choose problems from around the world and work at finding solutions to them using skills learned from multiple fields, breaking down the walls between the arts and sciences, and also the mission of cultivating global human resources to solve various issues.
At the end of the meeting, the deans of the two faculties pledged to continue to provide opportunities for information exchange, aiming for collaboration in the training of the next generation as faculties of leading Japanese and Korean universities that nurture global human resources beyond the boundaries of the humanities and sciences.
