Visiting students from National Taiwan Normal University to ISI Jun.23,2023

On Monday, June 19, 2023, ISI welcomed six students from the Transdisciplinary Program of College of Educatiom at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).

The purpose of this visit was to further enhance educational collaboration, taking into account the active student exchanges between the two schools, including COIL (Collaborative International Online Learning) initiatives.

The visiting students participated in the third-period class on Regional History taught by Associate Professor Andrew Hall, as well as the fifth-period class on Ethics of Education taught by Associate Professor Sevilla Anton. The students from NTNU engaged in group work with the students of ISI.  After the classes, they continued to interact and deepen their exchange even after the classes. Between the third and fifth periods, there was a welcome address by the Dean Kaburagi, followed by a campus tour. Guided by members of the student support team "Q-MATE," exchange students from Taiwan, Mr. Yang I (a second-year master's student of Graduate School of Integrated Frontier Sciences), and Ms. Messie from Madagascar (4th year student of Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, School of Engineering), NTNU students visited the West area.

Upon concluding their visit, the students expressed their excitement, saying, "Interacting with ISI students was a wonderful experience!" They returned with sparkling eyes. This in-person exchange, finally taking place after the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic, seems to have been an invaluable experience for students from both universities.
