Reporting the Student Exchange Agreement Signing with D-School to the President of National Taiwan University Oct.5,2023

On Monday, September 25, 2023, President Chen Wen-Chang of National Taiwan University visited the Ito Campus to attend the Kyushu University Degree Commencement Ceremony and the signing ceremony for a strategic partnership agreement between National Taiwan University and Kyushu University. During the signing ceremony, Johan Lauwereyns, Vice Dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation (ISI), reported to President Chen and President Ishibashi about the recently established student exchange agreement between National Taiwan University's D-School and ISI at Kyushu University, which was signed on September 21.

The D-School offers an interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree program aimed at adapting to the ever-changing world and nurturing interdisciplinary talents, sharing a similar concept with ISI.

Starting with the department-level student exchange agreement between ISI and the D-School, we are planning to develop various programs, including COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) as well as physical student exchange programs. Our goal is to foster active exchanges and jointly produce international leaders who can thrive on the global stage.

The first COIL program is scheduled to take place between October and November 2023. It aims to participate in the world's largest student business competition known as the "Hult Prize," often referred to as the "Nobel Prize for students," as part of our commitment to these initiatives.
