Fall Commencement Ceremony for Academic Year 2023, School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation (ISI) Oct.5,2023
On Thursday, September 25, 2023, the ISI's Fall Commencement Ceremony was held at the Ito Campus. Eleven students received their degrees.
At the ceremony, Dean Kaburagi gave a warm congratulatory address to the graduates, saying, " The world is changing, but life's essence does not change. It is crucial to see the world in its true light and heed your inner voice. Your studies at ISI have equipped you to do so, and the diverse interactions at Kyushu University have enriched your character. I sincerely hope you will follow your chosen path with conviction, whatever you take, and I wish you continuous growth and success in all your endeavors.” In response, the representative of the graduates, Mr. FADEL ABDURRAHMAN AZHARI from Indonesia., gave a speech. “Our journey through the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation, or ISI for short, has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride through different fields of academia.
But as we reflect on these past few years, we realise that the pandemic has taught us invaluable life lessons. We've learned the importance of resilience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.Thank you ISI for facilitating my own self-discovery in academia. “He reflected on the past four years and expressed his gratitude.
After the ceremony, the students took pictures and said goodbye to their classmates and faculty members as they departed for the next stage of their lives.
